The first medical device the U.S. will need to use is an advanced dental instrument, the first such device to be used in the military, the Army said in a news release.

It is designed to replace existing dental equipment that is more than 50 years old and will not be replaced after 10 years, it added.
The military also is working to expand its dental supplies and is using dental implants, which it plans to buy in the coming years, the military said.
